Join us in improving health outcomes - invest in the CAHEC mission!

Since 1977, CAHEC has been dedicated to improving health outcomes in our 12-county region by growing and supporting our healthcare workforce and providing health education to our communities.

Whether it's by investing in one of our programs or supporting our Weld Community Foundation Endowment Challenge campaign, you can help us improve health outcomes for everyone!

Here are some specific ways you can support our mission:

CAHEC Endowment Fund

An endowment fund is a permanent, invested pool of assets held by a non-profit organization, university, or hospital, designed to provide long-term financial support. The principal (donated capital) is usually invested rather than spent, with a portion of the investment returns used annually to fund operations or programs.

Lola Fehr Nurse Educators Conference in the Rockies Scholarship Fund

Centennial Area Health Education Center would like to provide up to five need-based scholarships (totaling $10,000) to nurse educators or aspiring nurse educators to attend the Nurse Educators Conference in the Rockies where they can learn best teaching practices from and network with fellow nurse educators.

Compassionate Care Dementia Training Program

Our new Compassionate Care Training educates healthcare students and professionals on how to successfully interact with and provide appropriate care for the influx of dementia patients they will encounter in their careers.

  • $100 provides 4 hours of dementia training to a student or healthcare professional.

  • $2,500 would help us purchase an aging body suit to enhance the training

  • $5,000 provides training for medical students at one university or community college for one academic year

Northern CO Nurse Well-Being Conference

The Nurse Well-Being Conference is a transformative experience dedicated to restoring, supporting, and empowering nurses at every stage of practice. The Nurse Well-Being Conference equips nurses with the tools, knowledge, and community needed to strengthen well-being, resilience, and long-term professional sustainability.

Other Giving Options:

Weld Community Foundation Agency Endowment Fund

There is an easy way you can be the hero of our agency and it’s by donating stock. When a stock has increased in value since it was originally granted, you must pay capital gains tax on the increase when you redeem the stock. Should you donate the stock to a nonprofit like CAHEC, you still get a tax deduction, but can also avoid this tax. Many donors find this helpful because a stock donation isn’t impacting their cash flow. Most importantly, it helps us continue to offer the support you’ve been reading about. To donate, simply “Donate Stock” button below. You’ll get a confirmation as soon as the transaction is processed. Should you decide to give again next year, your information is saved. Such a simple way to be a hero!
