CAHEC for Healthcare Professionals

The Centennial Area Health Education Center supports local healthcare providers in many different ways to address and combat workforce shortages in our rural Northeastern Region of Colorado.

To support health professionals in rural and frontier regions as they train the next generation of healthcare professionals, CAHEC worked with state leaders to pass the Preceptor Bill that offers tax credits for preceptors.

Our two Regional Health Connectors, connect and develop resources within each region as they work with various coalitions to improve coordination of care.

For those interested in RN/LPN refresher courses, our partners at Colorado Center for Nursing Excellence offer online courses.

CAHEC supports and recognizes outstanding health professionals through our work with the Nightingale Awards Ceremony

The Centennial Area Health Education Center is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Colorado Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This has been a valuable asset to the Nursing Educator Conference(NEC) in the Rockies, which has drawn attendees from international locations.
