Community

The Centennial Area Health Education Center develops and delivers education on important health topics with a special focus on social determinants of health to support community health education. 

The Centennial Area Health Education Center strives to improve healthy living in the Northeast region of Colorado through collaboration with local coalitions and Partnerships.

 

CAHEC provides Naloxone and Harm Reduction training for community partners. 

A new mobile mental health exhibit, Be Mindful It Matters will promote mental health awareness and stigma reduction.

Community members have the opportunity to be a part of the health career pathway when they Host a Student completing clinical rotations in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and more!

Our partners at CU Anschutz provide a Mini-Med series each fall where professional medical educators teach simplified medical basics that anyone can learn and apply. This program is currently in redevelopment.

 

During the Covid-19 pandemic, CAHEC worked to compile a series of video interviews with various Colorado community members, particularly those in the health sectors, to record and learn from their experiences. The Pandemic Persepctives archive is available for public use as an educational and research resource.
